In its 2022 version, the song that made thousands of dancers jerk their buttocks “as a sign of distress” still features the voice of Geneviève Lapointe, performer of the original version and the character of Dolbie Stereo on stage, but with an even more techno sound. The original song had played 25,000 times on the radio by 2007, making it a classic by SOCAN standards.

Musical comedy Houndstoothwhich Marc Drouin created in collaboration with musician Robert Léger, notably won the prize for show of the year at the ADISQ gala in 1982.
