The principal of an establishment in Arras (Pas-de-Calais), testified anonymously, Friday October 13, after the death of a teacher attacked with a knife.
“All students and staff in the area were secured. (…) We confined the establishment (…) until we received a message from our hierarchy which authorized us to release the students, and set up a system in the light afternoon”he reports.
“We are always asked to remain cautious in our establishments”
This vigilante plan, applied calmly, has been communicated since the assassination of Samuel Paty. “We are still in a surveillance plan. We were reminded of this at the start of the year in the various authorities. We are always asked to remain cautious in our establishments”, indicates the principal.
“Afterwards, there remains psychological assistance. We will have to manage the students’ state of mind. An establishment close to the one where the tragedy occurred, the teachers know each other, the families know each other. It’s always a little special. We have very affected staff”, adds the principal.
