(Toronto) Montreal band Arcade Fire have announced a world tour to promote their sixth album – We –, released on Friday.
Posted yesterday at 12:51 p.m.
This will be the band’s first tour since 2018. Tickets go on sale May 13.
The band will kick off the ball in Dublin, Ireland in August and then tour Europe and North America.
The final concert is scheduled for Toronto in December, following shows in Edmonton and Vancouver.
No Quebec city is part of the group’s itinerary for this tour, but it had already been announced that Arcade Fire would replace the Foo Fighters as the headliner of the first day of the Osheaga festival, July 29 in Montreal.
Canadian singer-songwriter Feist will support for the European and UK dates, while Beck will accompany Arcade Fire for the North American gigs.
In addition to the release of their new album and the announcement of their tour, the group must also participate in the American show Saturday Night Live this weekend and at the Juno Awards Gala on May 15 in Toronto.
Arcade Fire continues without one of its founding members, Will Butler, who announced in March that he left the group last year.
