On the road | A summer of plenty

Les Cocagnes is a collective agroecological project on 40 acres of land near Frelighsburg, in Estrie. Since 2022, the NPO has welcomed chefs every weekend during the summer (16 weekends in total!), to concoct country meals using farm products, among other things.

Among the guest chefs of 2024, there is Fisun Ercan from Ferme et cuisine Bika (June 22, 23), Alejandro Vega from Majestique, Darling et Miracolo (June 29, 30), François-Emmanuel Nicol from Tanière3 (August 17 and 18 ), Suzy Rainville from Baumann (August 31) and Danny St-Pierre from Pan Américan (September 14 and 15). Many other quality chefs are on the impressive program which can be discovered on the Cocagnes website.

There are also some new things on earth this year. A reception and observation area with a view of Mount Pinacle has been set up for the aperitif. You can add a market garden box filled with fresh vegetables and products processed by Le Rizen and Les Siffleux to the purchase of your ticket.

Tuesdays will be dedicated to aperitifs, a more relaxed way to discover the place, with pizza or appetizers from guest chefs. The five-course country table costs $125 per person. You can add a pairing of Quebec beers, ciders and wines at a fair price.
