The croque-monsieur is a classic of French cuisine, which seduces both gourmets and people in a hurry, and it is not the famous chef of the Grange Obriot, at La Baffe who will tell us the opposite! An early fan of this hot sandwich, he awakened our taste buds this morning by revealing some of his tips for a successful snack! He even revealed his sweet recipe to us, which will delight young and old alike!

A particularly popular variant of the famous sandwich is the Italian croque, here is the recipe of chef Claudy Obriot. You will need for 4 people: 8 slices of sandwich bread preferably bought from the baker; 8 slices of parma ham; 1 large ball of fresh mozzarella; 3 or 4 nice tomatoes; about 150 g of grated Emmental cheese; 100g heavy cream; pepper ; a few chopped fresh basil and oregano leaves; a handful of crisp salad.

Preparation: on a baking sheet, place 4 slices of sandwich bread, prepare a mixture of fresh cream, grated Emmental and pepper and spread it over the slices of sandwich bread. Cut the ball of mozzarella into thin slices as well as the tomatoes and arrange them on the slices of bread, spread the basil and oregano and cover with a slice of bread. Put in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes at 160°. Remove from the oven, place on plates and cover with a few crunchy lettuce leaves! Enjoy your lunch !

Want a sweet variant? Divide a few chocolate bars (dark, milk or white according to taste) between two slices of sandwich bread previously spread with butter, and grill them under the salamander in the oven until the chocolate melts, remove from the oven and enjoy!
