(Montreal) The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is investigating the mysterious attack of a teenage girl who was in a wood near a residential area in Sainte-Julienne, in the Lanaudière region.
The case occurred near Chemin du Government on Friday evening, around 7 p.m., where the young person was hit by a projectile, the nature of which was not specified.
“She was traveling on foot during the event […] She went to the home of a family member, where emergency services were called,” explained Sergeant Frédéric Deshaies, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The teenager suffered non-life threatening injuries to her face. She was transported to a hospital to treat her injuries.
“Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec are currently conducting an investigation with the aim of establishing the causes and circumstances of the event,” said Sergeant Deshaies.
The SQ investigation is continuing.
