JDA Dijon – Five home games in 12 days, a ticketing challenge

On Wednesday March 9, 2022, the JDA Dijon basketball players will play their second match in three days at the Palais des sports. In the league on Monday against Le Mans and against the Germans of Ludwigsburg this Wednesday evening (8:30 p.m.), for the 4th day of the Top 16 in the Champions League. The JDA which is in this month of March at the heart of an incredible series of five home games in just twelve days. Beyond the sporting issue, a big challenge: attracting spectators each time to fill the 4000 seats du Palais, in addition to the 700 subscribers (by combining the figures of the JDA hand and basketball).

La Jeanne has put in place several offers for this month of March, such as a 12 euro pack for students, for the three Le Mans – Ludwigsburg – Galatasaray matches. “To surf the news, on March 8 and International Women’s Day, all women who come to the ticket office on Wednesday will have free access to the JDA match against Ludwigsburg”. The club also recently offered a €25 “BCL pack” for the three Champions League matches, which was bought by 500 people.

For some encounters, on the other hand, it takes less effort to fill the room. On March 12, against ASVEL, “we know that we have a 98% chance of being sold out, because ASVEL is always impressive, and that in recent years there have been great battles between the JDA and ASVEL”. Reference to the finals of the Leaders Cup, the Coupe de France or the championship.

The price of tickets is not the only lever to seduce the public. Monday evening against Le Mans, spectators were able to take advantage of discounted prices on drinks, popcorn or hot dogs, in a sort of of happy hour. Friday 18 and Saturday 19 March (for JDA Handball – Brest and JDA Basket – Cholet), the Palace will be in Irish colors for Saint-Patrick’s Day. The club has also given a makeover to its shop (located in the East stand). A renewal made official on Saturday March 12 at the time of the reception of ASVEL with the presence of the journalist specializing in basketball Rémi Reverchon, who will sign his book “NBA Road Trip”.
