“I’m a beginner. I’ve only been here for 60 years”!

On September 2, TF1 broadcast the program “The 50 favorite programs of the French”. And Michel Drucker and his “Hurry up Sunday” weren’t in the top 5 or the rest of the list. The ranking established through a Harris Interactive survey gave “Capital” (M6), “Meeting in unknown land” (France 2), “The horns of info” (Canal+), “Thalassa” (France 3) and “Looking for apartment or house” (M6) winners. The 79-year-old host couldn’t help but be ironic!

They had to ask an intern

At the microphone of Guillaume Genton, in the Morning without filteron virgin radiothis Monday morning, he mocked: “I am a beginner. I’ve only been here 60 years. You have to wait for the shows to settle down! ‘Vivement dimanche’ is only 24 years old, ‘Champs-Elysées’, 10 years old (sic). You have to give people time to discover these shows…“.

And while he had already winked at the lovely Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022, whom he would like to welcome on his red sofa, Michel Drucker has given it a layer! A seductive brown he added that he was also missing and of course the Miss France contest in the “50 favorite programs of the French, defending: “It’s a cult show!”

With all his sympathy, the television host also explained about the program broadcast by TF1 last Friday : “I did not know this survey, fortunately you called me, I could not have lived without it…“. And to doubt “scientific value” from this Harris Interactive poll, tackling: “They had to ask an intern: ‘find us 50 shows because we have to do a show’…

Someday there’ll be a show about TV’s 50 Biggest Fails and I’ll be in it.

However, the one whose kindness and humility is also known also concluded: “One day there will be a show about the 50 biggest flop in the history of television and I will be in it.“.
