“I no longer deprive myself”: Cindy Sander lost 10 extra pounds without dieting

A little throwback to 2008: Cindy Sander, a young thirty-something presents herself to the casting of The New Star. With pretty curves, she sings in a rather theatrical way despite a certain vocal power. His performance is rather mocked by the jury but becomes cult and Cindy Sander, who will later release the single Butterfly of Light becomes an essential character of the 2000s.

If the light has been a little removed from her for several years, the singer has nevertheless met a person who has changed her life and has restored her confidence in her: the couturier Thierry Mugler. Died a few days ago, he had met her and engaged her in one of her shows, The Wyld. But the one who was obsessed with her appearance and had done a lot of cosmetic surgery, had above all changed the image of the young woman by making her lose nearly 40 kilos and turning her red.

He offered me to be the star of the show The Wyld in Berlin. It took me three years of work. I did a lot of sport and I lost 40 to 45 kilos. I became a redhead and felt more like a woman than ever“ she had explained to the Women’s Journal in March 2021. Guest of the show At Jordan’s after the funeral of her mentor, she said a little more about her spectacular weight loss.

When I worked with Mugler I lost over 40 pounds. Today, I no longer diet, for a year now, I eat ketogenic. It’s a diet that consists of reducing carbohydrates, I now burn fat and I lost 10 kilos again. […]With the ketogenic diet, the roles are reversed, I eat carbohydrates but differently. I don’t deprive myself of anything anymore“.

No surgery therefore, for her, unlike her friend Thierry Mugler: “What is funny is that I was told that I had surgery on my face but not at all. I did nothing at all. When you lose a lot of weight, the face automatically changes. Thierry Mugler made me more beautiful than ever, he shaped me, we didn’t need the scalpel“.

Devastated by the death of the one who believed in her from the start, Cindy Sander attended the funeral of the designer this Friday, February 4.
