Elizabeth II, Charles and William at war with the BBC

Tensions are mounting at Buckingham Palace. While the broadcast of the documentary The Princes and the press on the British channel BBC is fast approaching, Elizabeth II is worried about what will be revealed to viewers. According to information from Daily Mail, this Sunday, November 21, 2021, she would even be “furious“.

This documentary produced by the journalist Amol Rajan – known for his controversial views on the monarchy – will be presented this Monday, November 22 on the English channel. A two-part adaptation that focuses on the illegal activities of certain media in the late 1990s to target the royal family. However, no one within the palace was able to have an inspection right before the broadcast. This greatly exasperated the members of the royal family – like Prince Charles and his eldest son, Prince William – who, supported by the queen, indicated that they wanted to boycott the channel.

The three flagship members of the royal family have reportedly threatened the channel with withdrawing their cooperation for future BBC projects such as interviews or documentaries. “There is an upheaval about this. Households are united in thinking that this is not fair. No one at the Palace saw him“, said a source from the palace to the media. And so far, the channel still seems determined to broadcast the documentary. This would therefore put an end to their collaboration. As a reminder, the BBC had broadcast this year a tribute to the deceased prince philip as well as the series Earthshot. A five-part adaptation about climate change, presented by the father of George (8 years old), Charlotte (6 years old) and Louis (3 years old).

It must be admitted that lately, the royal family wishes to avoid any bad publicity. Because following the state of health of the queen – which has greatly worried the British lately – Elizabeth II and her clan have also experienced some controversy following the famous interview of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with Oprah Winfrey.
