The case started from a family dispute. On the night of Friday April 1 to Saturday, a 49-year-old man threatened his parents in Pierre-Châtel, north of La Mure.
The gendarmes, once there, are threatened in turn by the individual, with a cutter. They fire, and the man dies, according to the Grenoble prosecutor.
