Mon Village Market: nuts, spices and dried fruits not to eat

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) has issued a notice not to consume nuts, spices and dried fruits from Marché Mon Village located on Poirier Street in Montreal.

This decision was made because the food was not stored in a safe way.

The products that are the subject of this warning were sold in bulk until October 6 and stored at room temperature.

People who have purchased these products should return them to the facility or discard them.

“Even if the targeted products do not show any signs of tampering or suspicious odors, their consumption may represent a health risk”, it was specified.

No case of illness related to the consumption of these foods has been reported to MAPAQ to date.
