Back home for Pierre Mignoni. The former scrum-half signs up for four seasons with the RCT, a club he knows well. Born in Toulon, Mignoni ended his career in the harbor in 2011, before coaching the “Reds and Blacks” fullbacks for the next four seasons. Alongside then coach Bernard Laportehe had also won a Brennus (2014) and two European Cups (2013 and 2015) with the RCT.
At the end of the season, Mignoni will leave his position as sports manager of Lyon. “We have formalized a four-year agreement with Pierre and extended the contract for the same period for Franck” specified the president of the RCT, Bernard Lemaître
At the edge of the field next season in Toulon, a duo of trainersLabit/Travers way at Racing 92 : “We have often been adversaries, I have a lot of respect for Pierre assures Franck Azéma. We talked and I’m sure we can do a good job together.”
Furthermore, Bernard Lemaître affirmed that, even in the event of a descent to Pro D2 next season (note: the RCT is penultimate in the Top 14)the tandem will remain the same.
