In the section “We answer you”, Chloé Nabédian answers, Wednesday, June 15, questions from the French about the heat wave affecting the country.
Should you take a cold shower when it’s very hot? While this may sound like a good idea, it is not recommended to do so. “The body feels like a real aggression the arrival of this icy water”, explains journalist Chloé Nabédian, present on the set of 13 Hours, Wednesday, June 15. Faced with water that is too cold, the body could even produce heat. It is therefore advisable to shower with lukewarm water. You also need to drink well. “You should eat soup (…) because it simply allows you to compensate for the excess loss of salt with excess hydration”she explains.
Between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., it is advisable to close the windows, curtains and shutters of the accommodation. “You should place green plants near your windows, so they will capture the sun’s energy and sweat”, adds Chloé Nabédian. Finally, to accentuate the benefits of a fan, you can place a damp towel nearby or a bottle of frozen water, in order to diffuse freshness.
