It became a recurring question on his show, “At Jordan’s”, on C8. The money the stars earn. Jordan de Luxe spoke about retirement with his guest of the day, Laurent Cabrol, on February 28, 2023. And the former weather forecaster on Europe 1, fromA gold family and Téléshoppingon TF1, answered questions without filters.
“You are going to live a week with 1200 euros as I know you”
He who retired 12 years ago at the age of 64 reveals that he receives 1200 euros per month. And he thinks the sum is very low: “This is not a retreat! […] Especially when you know what you do with 1200 euros per month“. At Jordan de Luxe, he even launches: “I’m sure you’ll live with it for a week, as I know you”.
And there is a reason why this stamp is so meager, assures Laurent Cabrol, and that has nothing to do with his declarations to the administration… Transparent, Laurent Cabrol assures: “I have a small pension because people like me, who have worked, and who have done several shows, they both have a salary, and therefore a relatively low pension, and they have a production house, a bit more important, where the chain puts money”.

Laurent Cabrol details as follows: “She earns a little more money but you have to pay the secretaries, the technicians, well… And what you have left, you keep and set aside. Pensions are two parts, a small official part, and a part of my companies”. And “Fortunately” that he can count on these “ancillary income”, he says, because otherwise, the television man assures us that he would not get out of it.
His point of view on pension reform
Regarding the current pension reform, which is giving the government a hard time, Laurent Cabrol also gave his opinion to Jordan de Luxe. If he has no opinion”completely stopped”he thinks “that there are two kinds of French people. There are those who drag the devil by the tail, there are those who get by. And, that’s all, those who are the lowest paid and who make heavy work, they must be better paid, there is no denying it”.
