Wearing a mask is no longer compulsory outdoors in Charente and Charente-Maritime

This is a consequence of the gradual lifting of health restrictions against Covid-19, decided by the government. In Charente and Charente-Maritime, the prefects have issued decrees to remove the obligation to wear a mask outdoors. The measure applies from this Wednesday, February 2.

The prefects had already greatly reduced the obligations to wear a mask, after cancellations of decrees in other departments. The mask is still recommended when social distancing is not possible. The obligation continues to apply in establishments open to the public (ERP), including outdoors.

The follow-up after the health defense council

The relaxation of sanitary measures also concerns concert halls and stadiums: the gauge is removed. Telework is no longer mandatory, only recommended. The reopening of nightclubs is announced for February 16, as is the return of standing concerts.

The rest must be validated this Wednesday morning by Emmanuel Macron, during a new health defense council. In particular, it will be a question of the relaxation of the health protocol in schoolsannounced for the start of the February holidays.
