(New York) The New York Stock Exchange opened lower on Friday, hurt by a higher than expected inflation indicator which should encourage the US central bank (Fed) to continue its forced monetary tightening.

In early trading, the Dow Jones lost 0.20%, the NASDAQ index lost 0.06% and the broader S&P 500 index lost 0.09%.
