Wall Street opens in disarray after major debt vote

(New York) The New York Stock Exchange opened in scattered order on Thursday, catching its breath after a crucial vote on the debt ceiling in the US Congress, and misguided by the forecasts deemed disappointing by several companies.


In early trading, the Dow Jones yielded 0.55%, the NASDAQ index gleaned 0.01% and the broader S&P 500 index yielded 0.04%.
