“I started getting involved several years ago with Projet Montréal, because the party’s values and ideas resonate a lot with me. Today, it is to advance this same vision that I have decided to take the leap as general manager”, explained the main interested party in a short statement on Monday, claiming to want to “continue the fantastic transformation of the City that they have been orchestrating for more than four years now, and that we will continue for several years”.
In a press release, Projet Montréal praised the many “years of experience as a manager in the private sector and the community sector” of its new director general.
Before becoming CEO at CISM-FM — a position he held for more than five years — Mr. Mayano-Vinet was notably project coordinator at the architectural firm Lemay, and also executive assistant at the cabinet in RPM Sustainable Development consulting services.
The party affirms that Eloi Mayano-Vinet stood out above all “for his expertise in managing the work environment, optimizing processes and popularizing”. His mandate will be to “ensure sound management and administration of Projet Montréal and its various bodies, in particular by applying an open and collaborative approach focused on results.”
“I am delighted to welcome Mr. Mayano-Vinet. His qualities as a manager and his political experience will bring a lot to our team and contribute to our efforts to ensure a green, safe, prosperous and affordable future for the metropolis,” responded Mayor Valérie Plante.
Mr. Mayano-Vinet succeeds Raphaëlle Rinfret-Pilon, a former strategic advisor at Dynamo who joined the municipal training in May 2020.
