They will probably not spend their holidays together. But that doesn’t stop them from keeping a good relationship and burying the hatchet. Indeed, a few weeks ago, no one would have imagined that Valérie Pécresse and Bertrand Chameroy could exchange at a distance. As a reminder, the columnist of C to you had made it known on the show that he had sent a donation to the former candidate in the first round of the presidential election to reimburse his campaign. It had not exceeded 5%, the minimum required to obtain reimbursement, and had asked for help from its followers to make up for the deficit which amounted to nearly 5 million euros.
Following this request, Bertrand Chameroy took hold of his checkbook to try to help the Republican candidate, without even “receiving a thank you”. It was therefore enough to “annoy” her and attack her in the majority of her columns. However, the columnist was probably unaware that Valérie Pécresse was a devotee of C to you. Indeed, in a video message, relayed by Mohamed Bouhafsi in the program this Friday, June 24, she addressed the columnist to finally thank him. And take the opportunity to address him a tackle, full of irony.

“Hello Bertrand Chameroy, I wanted to take advantage of this video to sincerely thank you for your donation to my campaign”she begins before recalling that she had helped him a lot for his many chronicles in which he tackled her: “While it is true that as I have been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for you in recent months, and for your two-ball jokes, as you say, it was not abnormal that you paid me a few royalties”.
The politician continued her intervention by assuring that she did not blame Bertrand Chameroy “since I did not return your donation”. Nevertheless, he is not “for all that invited to my birthday on July 14th”. Valérie Pécresse concluded her message by wishing to “Good holidays” to the columnist: “Because when you’re on vacation, it bothers me too”.
