Vagal discomfort forces Robert Charlebois to cancel a show in Joliette

Robert Charlebois had to cancel a show in Joliette on Thursday evening due to vagal discomfort, but the veteran singer is doing well, we assure you.

The Desjardins Cultural Center in Joliette announced Thursday evening on Facebook that Charlebois had experienced discomfort which had prevented him from performing on stage.

It was specified that “the situation seems to be under control for him”.

In a message sent Friday noon on his Facebook page, his team indicated that the 79-year-old singer had suffered vagal discomfort during rehearsal.

He consulted a doctor as a precaution and he is in good shape, we assured.

The artist took advantage of his message to salute the hospital employees who took care of him.

Robert Charlebois is currently leading his “Charlebois, Ducharme and the others” tour. He is also due to perform on Saturday in Saint-Eustache.

At the end of May, he must go to Paris to offer several shows at the Théâtre Bobino. The singer must then return to Quebec for other concerts in the fall.
