Two years after allegations | Yann Perreau back on stage

Two years after being targeted by allegations of a sexual nature on social networks, singer-songwriter Yann Perreau returns to the stage with a summer tour entitled Go where your heart takes you named after the first single, to be released on May 20, from his forthcoming — and sixth — album.

The artist will be at the Café Bistro Le Mouton Noir in Val-David on May 28. He will then be performing at the Le Brun General Store in Maskinongé on June 3, at the Beat & Betteraves in Frelighsburg on June 17 and at the Confessionnal, small hall of the Capitole de Québec on June 18, can we read on his Facebook page.

On July 10, 2020, Yann Perreau was the subject of allegations of a sexual nature on social media, practically at the same time as Maripier Morin, Bernard Adamus and David Desrosiers, bassist of Simple Plan who then left the group.

Yann Perreau has apologized for the “discomfort, anger and pain” he created for “inappropriate” behavior on the same day the allegations were published. He had announced at the same time to take a step back, rest and take care of his family.

The Bonsound label had also announced that it was ending its association with Perreau, considered one of the most representative artists of the house. “Following the allegations of sexual assault and misconduct against Yann Perreau, Bonsound announces its immediate dissociation with him, it was then reported. We undertake to proceed in the same way with any other artist or collaborator who is targeted by such allegations. »

Perreau’s latest album, The fantastic of the starsdates back to 2016. Since then, he released a soul song, Taste the timein March 2020.
