Two inhabitants of the region have just won the Euromillions, one after the other… First ticket validated on December 28 with a €79 million jackpot. Then, three days later, a new millionaire validated his ticket to Saint Laurent Blangy, near Arras.
He thinks he misread
The first is a Northerner, a regular Loto and Euromillions… He has his favorite numbers like many, and it was they that allowed him to draw the jackpot on December 28th. Even he didn’t believe it when he connected to the Française des Jeux website: he thought he had only won 79,000 euros… But no, you had to read three additional zeros: it was 79 million.
Only a few kilometers away, three days later, there is another lucky one. He was in Pas-de-Calais, in Saint Laurent Blangy, near Arras, New Year’s Eve. This is an occasional player, who has decided to play, a little by chance, seeing another winner on TV. He won the third biggest win in the department with the FDJ: 17 million euros.
Our two winners have both decided to remain anonymous. They also both assure that they matter keep your feet on the ground, by continuing to work for example. But by still offering a few trips… to France only for the biggest jackpot, to paradise islands and cruises for the second.
