The German Tabloid Picture broadcast a video of an explosion in Ukraine during a live broadcast. Internet users have unanimously denounced the manipulation on the part of the media car the explosion actually took place in 2015.
On Twitter, several Internet users pinned the German tabloid Picture and accuse him of manipulation. “They don’t care about us in the media?, “Good old propaganda for Ukraine”, launch several internet users. In question : in one of the broadcasts broadcast live from the media, a German reporter present in Ukraine speaks of an explosion. The media broadcasts the images, but in reality they do not correspond to the images of the war in Ukraine which began on Thursday February 24 in Ukraine.
The on-air video actually showed an explosion that occurred in 2015 in a port city in northern China. The images had been shot by an amateur. The German tabloid then corrected the video and published the day after the broadcast an apology on its Twitter account claiming than “our editorial colleagues work with the utmost care. These errors, which we deeply regret, annoy us all the more”.
