A shaken tourist
This is shown in a video shared by the Daily Mail on Instagram, this January 22, 2024, where we see that the worst could have happened. In front of one of King Charles III’s guards, an Asian tourist was grabbed by the sleeve of her down jacket. And the horse shook her. More fear than harm, finally, the young woman managed to free herself, without harming her clothing or the animal. She quickly found her smile again.
A video which could in turn go viral, as was the case in July 2022. At the time of the reign of Elizabeth II, a tourist was scolded by a guard of the queen, while she was was getting a little too close to the horse. The guard then yelled: “Stay away from the queen’s rescuer, don’t touch the reins!. The tourist assured that she would never set foot in London again after such an incident.

At the time, the affair had become so serious that an army spokesperson responded: “We take all incidents like this seriously and want to make sure everyone who visits Horse Guards has a good time. This area is particularly popular with tourists and, on occasion, soldiers on guard duty have to shout loudly to alert members of the public if they get too close to the horses, which happened in this case. We have signs placed next to the horse stalls, stating that horses bite and always encourage the public not to approach horses, as after all they are animals and can be unpredictable“.
