In the sixth inning, Pirates shortstop Oneil Cruz collided with White Sox receiver Seby Zavala and a free-for-all melee ensued.
Cruz was injured during this contact and he had to leave the meeting. The Pirates announced later Sunday that Cruz suffered a broken left ankle in the collision.
This scuffle was the only highlight of the duel, as the Pirates won the match by a score of 1-0.
