Four days before the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, 19/20 info welcomes Gédéon and Jules Naudet, the directors of the documentary “Au cœur des Jeux”, broadcast on France 2 Monday July 22.

Little by little, the details of the opening ceremony are taking shape. From the hanging of the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower to the scenography, designed by director Thomas Jolly, the preparations are moving one after the other. Gédéon and Jules Naudet watched, with their cameras, these months of hard work to make Paris 2024 a global celebration.

On Monday July 22, four days before the ceremony, France 2 broadcasts their documentary for the occasion, At the heart of the Games. If the two filmmakers know the secrets of the ceremony, “We’re going to film it mainly behind the scenes”enthuses Gédéon Naudet, guest on 19/20 info.

“The goal of this documentary is to show the French people an aspect of the Games that has never been seen. Our cameras are there when no cameras are there.”adds the director. Their cameras also followed the boss of this Parisian edition of the Olympic Games, Tony Estanguet. “We see their journey and take up this incredible challenge that they have set themselves.
