In his culture column, journalist Michel Mompontet highlights, among others, the Ensemble I Gemelli, which revisits opera, and the young violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte.

On the 23h set of franceinfo, Friday March 25, journalist Michel Mompontet evokes the release, that same day, of the album A Room of Mirrors by Ensemble I Gemelli, whose volcanic and thunderous leader is called Emiliano Gonzalez Bull. “We discover, with this absolutely jubilant disc, how music sounded before opera, that is to say during the age of the first Italian bel canto“, he summarizes about this baroque music.

Michel Mompontet also honors the violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte, just 26 years old and who is releasing his first solo album, in which he “honors the literature of the violin, between Vivaldi, Locatelli and, of course, the French composer Leclair“. He also performed a duet with the dancer François Alu, accompanied by a clip, which oscillates between classic homage and modernity.
