The wonderful world of bees at La Ferme Verdoulet in Mondragon

A path between Uchaux and Mondragon, a promontory on the left, good smells, some pines and oaks, the red earth of the Massif d’Uchaux… and a few hundred meters further, the farm which appears at the bend of a bend.

Virginie and Christophe, the two partners at the head of exploration, welcome me to introduce me to the exceptional world of bees. Their common passion for a few years.

That’s good, it’s harvest day for the last honey of the season. The hikes came back full from the mountain. The color is characteristic, the product is tasty and thick.

In the lab, Christophe prepares the supers, Virginie uncaps them before spinning in the extractor. It takes time to get the precious nectar… what work and knowledge are needed to get there.

At the Verdoulet farm, we offer honey in all its forms: in jars, candies, ice creams and even delicious spreads that make my Sunday mornings so happy. Virginie has great pastry skills. Very quickly she wanted to develop these other products and Christophe does not want to stop there; He went in search of the best laboratory for the extraction of propolis. And the first bottles are already available.

The Verdoulet farm welcomes you to Mondragon every afternoon, route de Rochegude to Mormoiron / contact: 06 32 69 19 37.
