The Pont Flaubert in Rouen will rise during the night of this Thursday to this Friday, to let a boat pass. And not just any boat, a three mast, the sailboat “Le Français” in stopover in Rouen for a month, from December 31 to February 4, moored at the quai d’honneur Jean Ango.
A stopover as part of the future Armada Rouen 2023. Several hundred schoolchildren, college and high school students from the region but also from Ile de France, will be able to participate in awareness-raising actions to protect the oceans, thanks to the Polar School aboard the French.
Ship tours will also be offered free of charge to the general public on weekends, except this weekend of January 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. You will be able to discover the exhibition on the wintering of Commander Charcot in Antarctica in 1904, in the footsteps of this doctor-explorer 100 years later.
The three-masted barque “Le Français” left Saint-Malo on Monday December 27th to come to Rouen.
