Wednesday, April 26 is to be held the 6th National Conference on Disability (CNH), chaired by Emmanuel Macron at the Elysée. The president of the Collectif Handicaps, which brings together 52 associations, has announced that he does not want to participate in the event, franceinfo and France Bleu learned on Tuesday.

“We were offered several formats of intervention but none suits us, so we will not go“, specified the president of the collective, Arnaud de Broca.
The day before, Monday, the associations had threatened to boycott the event, castigating a “apparent lack of ambition“to improve the rights and daily lives of people with disabilities.
“The CNH will provide concrete answers to improve the lives of people with disabilities, their families and carers. All subjects of daily life will be addressed”Geneviève Darrieussecq, Minister Delegate for People with Disabilities, told AFP on Monday. “There will be a before and an after CNH in our society, especially with regard to fundamental rights” of these people, she promised.
