Based in Pau, this structure is the Swiss army knife of the sport of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. Located a stone’s throw from the Stade Lavie in Pau, the Nelson Paillou Center brings together in the same building 49 departmental committees, to which it offers the pooling of a certain number of tools ranging from the entire digital palette (image, IT , video) in the canteen, through management and training, meeting rooms and provision of premises or event kit.
Over time it has become a talent factory at all levels. Sporty, of course, but also at the level of support, training or management. Athletes, leaders, educators, trainers, all moving in the same direction for their own sports committee, but also to implement collective projects and actions.
And the Maison Sport-Santé Label adds a stone to an already very solid structure to promote high-level sport, as well as leisure, health sport and outdoor sports. In other words, its president Olivier Vissière, has a lot to tell us on a structure often unknown to the general public, but essential for the development and practice of departmental sport…
