The arrival on streaming viewing platforms, such as Crave, of Dune: Part Twoby Denis Villeneuve, coincides with the recent release of the book The Soul and Art of Dune – Part Two (from the publisher Hachette Canada), French version of the work published a few months ago.
Written by Tanya Lapointe, producer of the film and partner of the Quebec filmmaker, and Stefanie Broos, the magnificent document is embellished with numerous set photos and preliminary drawings.
It is full of information on the filming, the development of all aspects of the feature film and the mythology of the universe created by Frank Herbert. His son Brian, and Kevin J. Anderson, who continued the work by publishing various novels, contribute to the beautiful book.
The foreword is signed Denis Villeneuve. A similar book on the first part of the film had also been published.
