Mohammed Amri was sentenced to eight years in prison aftere of the verdict of the November 13 trial. His lawyer Me Negar Haeri was invited to the 11 p.m. set of franceinfo, Wednesday June 29.

Mohammed Amri, a 34-year-old Belgian-Moroccan, was arrested on November 14, 2015, a few hours after his return from Paris, where he had been the driver of Salah Abdeslam, the only surviving member of the November 13 terrorist commandos. Mohammed Amri was sentenced to eight years in prison after the verdict on Wednesday June 29. “Insofar as my client has served seven years in pre-trial detention, through the game of sentence reductions, these eight years will not be fully executed. He should be able to leave in about ten days”explains his lawyer Me Negar Haeri, guest of the 23h of franceinfo, this Wednesday.

Mohammad Amri “has always disputed the terrorist qualification. From a point of view of his reputation, he is disappointed with the qualification which was retained. The feeling is shared. Me, more personally, I persist in thinking that the qualification of association of terrorist criminals should not have been applied as it was”estimated Me Negar Haeri.
