The Collectivité de Corse was condemned to reimburse the sum of € 90 million to the company with yellow boats. Tense relations since the arrival at the helm of the Corsican Collective of Nationalists. Relationships that could be considered unhealthy, or at least “poisonous”.
The mayor of Bonifacio, who follows the debates with interest, considers “That Corsica should not today pay these sums to Corsica Ferries”. And for good reason : “The situation is actually a state decision of the President of the Republic at the time, Nicolas Sarkozy” indicates Jean-Charles Orsucci.
The mayor of the most southerly of the island cities invites everyone to line up behind the President of the Executive to be heard in Paris. “I believe that Paris hears and wants to hear. We must come out on top of this crisis that we are undergoing and which is the consequence of a choice by Nicolas Sarkozy. A choice that he imposed at the time on Ange Santini and the Collectivity of Corsica”Adds Jean-Charles Orsucci.
The leader of LREM in Corsica nonetheless softened his remarks: “I am not criticizing the fact that Nicolas Sarkozy was able, at the time, to take this decision surely under pressure from the unions. Corn today, it is not up to the Collectivity of Corsica to support these 90 M € and those which will follow”.
