Joseph Ghosn, editorial director of Inrockuptibles offers us a cinema special in the latest issue of the magazine. And the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival is no exception.
“Cannes is the greatest show in world cinema where the planet comes together”, says Joseph Ghosn, editorial director of Inrockuptibles. He says he is delighted to find a festival as before the Covid pandemic, without restriction. “This year, it’s a festival that puts authors, usual personalities who comfort us in this vision of cinema that is quite vast but just as demanding”he analyzes.
In the last issue is mentioned the return of Tom Cruise, which he perceives as “a madeleine”. We can also find a great interview with director David Cronenberg. In this special issue, Joseph Ghosn also wanted to ask several directors what a movie theater meant to them. “It’s an almost militant gesture to say ‘let’s see a movie in theaters‘. It’s part of the economics of cinema”, he says. As a reminder, in the first quarter of 2022, only 37 million viewers went to dark rooms compared to 59 million in 2019.
