Another emergency landing following a technical problem took place on an Air France Boeing. The cause is due to a hot smell felt in the cabin. The Paris-Seattle flight had to be diverted to an airport in Canada. A few hours later, another incident involving another plane took place with a FedEx Airlines plane in Istanbul (Turkey). The plane landed on its nose because the landing gear did not deploy. No casualties were reported.

Several incidents have taken place with Boeing planes. Last April, an engine cowling dislocated, a wheel came off during takeoff a few weeks earlier and a plane operated by Alaska Airlines lost a door in mid-flight. Incidents are increasing for the aircraft manufacturer. Three of the four models of commercial aircraft manufactured by the American group are the subject of an investigation by the American Civil Aviation Regulatory Agency.
