Players have been changing in their cars and showering at home for over 3 months
“It’s a situation that can’t go on any longer” explains Jean-Pierre Manteau, the president of the Barbières club, which brings together four municipalities: Barbières, Besayes, Rochefort Samson and Marches. The bad weather at the beginning of October led the mayor of the town to issue an order to permanently close the gymnasium which had hosted them until now. The security conditions are no longer sufficient and it is planned to build another gymnasium but in the meantime, the leaders of the football club are trying to find a solution because otherwise “the club is going to die” warns the president.
The fed up of leaders and players
The training conditions have become too difficult for more than 3 months. Without changing rooms, toilets or reception halls, the club tries somehow to survive but in the long term it risks losing a considerable number of licensees. The club has therefore decided to launch a call for donations to finance five algecos. It is necessary to gather for this 10 thousand euros. The club appeals to sponsors, its licensees and the inhabitants of the municipalities concerned or not, to allow the BBRM to survive. Just go to the following address www.helloasso.com
