the actor now lives with a Pacemaker

Monday March 18, 2024, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger underwent yet another heart operation. But just like the characters he plays on the big screen, the man is a real badass! This is not his first try. In an episode of his podcast “Arnold’s Pump Club”, the former governor of California declares having already undergone almost three open heart operations! In 1997, he had two operations to replace his pulmonary valve and his aortic valve. In 2018 and 2020, he had to undergo two more operations to replace them again.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: three open heart surgeries and a pacemaker

So one more, one less; It doesn’t change much in his daily life. He himself speaks about it with humor and lightness, allowing himself to make reference to a famous role that he played in the past: that of the Terminator.
“Last Monday, I underwent an operation to become a little more of a machine: I had a pacemaker fitted.”

Beyond this little joke, the ex-star of the 7th Art provides more detailed explanations of his state of health; and the news is rather reassuring: “First of all, I want you to know that I am doing great! I had my surgery last Monday, and by Friday of the same week I was already attending a big environmental event with my friend and fitness partner Jane Fonda. No one could have guessed that I started the week with an operation.”

Nothing to worry about: the septuagenarian is in better shape than ever.
