Ten sections of Montreal streets will be reserved exclusively for pedestrians during the summer.

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante made the announcement on Monday, saying pedestrianizing streets was good for business.
The sections of streets that will be closed to cars are:
- Mont-Royal Avenue, from Saint-Laurent Boulevard to Fullum Street
- Wellington Street, from 6and Avenue at Regina Street
- Sainte-Catherine Street East, from Saint-Hubert Street to Papineau Street
- Ontario Street East, from Pie-IX Boulevard to Darling Street
- Avenue Duluth Est, from boulevard Saint-Laurent to rue Saint-Hubert
- Rue Saint-Denis, from rue Sherbrooke to boulevard de Maisonneuve, as well as rue Emery
- Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest, from boulevard Saint-Laurent to rue de Bleury, as well as rue Clark, from rue de Montigny to the loading dock of the Maison du développement durable
- Place du Marché-du-Nord (Jean-Talon Market), from avenue Casgrain to avenue Henri-Julien
- Avenue Bernard, from Avenue Wiseman to Avenue Bloomfield
- Rue de Castelnau Est, from rue Saint-Denis to avenue de Gaspé.
