Storm Eunice continues on its way. It sweeps northwestern Europe on Saturday, February 19, with strong gusts expected on the German coasts. The storm, formed in Ireland, killed at least 13 people, including 4 in the Netherlands.
Storm Eunice blew hard in Europe on Friday February 18. In London (United Kingdom), a jumbo jet appears to be suspended in mid-flight. The wind is too strong, it is impossible for the A380 to move forward or land on the runways of Heathrow airport. The four-engine will have to do it three times before it succeeds in landing. Wind gusts reached up to 200 km/h in some places. The roof of a theater was even torn under the power of the wind.
The damage is also impressive in Belgium, where part of a crane flew away, before crashing into the top two floors of a hospital in Tournay. The storm continued to hit through the night of February 18, causing extensive damage in Germany. In the Netherlands, a sandstorm formed on the beach. It is the country most damaged by storm Eunice, with four deaths. In Europe, at least 13 people have been killed.
