On November 19, Sting unveiled “The Bridge”, the bridge in French. A name that evokes a lot of things for the British singer.
How? ‘Or’ What bond despite obstacles could be the common thread of this album whose titles evoke Brexit, the pandemic or even populism. Indeed, to write this new work, Sting was inspired by big changes in society that have marked him in recent years.
And then “a bridge”, it is also a term used in the musical world to evoke a melodic transition. A concept perfectly mastered by Sting, moving easily from one universe to another, from jazz to rock through folk.
To find out more about the artist’s life and his music, Accès Direct invited Belkacem Bahlouli, editor-in-chief of Rollingstones Magazine.
