On the official Kensington Palace account, a statement was published, explaining that she had been hospitalized. “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to hospital yesterday for a planned abdominal operation. The operation was successful and she is expected to remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties before Easter” assure the spokespersons of Wales.
And to add, for the most curious, who would try to know what evil is gnawing at the mother of George, Charlotte and Louis: “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest that this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality as possible for her children; and her wish that her personal medical information remains confidential. Kensington Palace will not provide therefore updates on Her Royal Highness’s progress only when there is significant new information to share.”
“She hopes to return to her duties as soon as possible”
Also, while the most popular member of the royal family must take a long leave, she lets the general public know: “The Princess of Wales would like to apologize to all concerned for having to postpone her upcoming engagements. She hopes to reinstate as many as possible, as soon as possible.”
