Russian strike kills at least three in Odessa, military administration says

Three people died and 13 others were injured in Russian strikes on the port of Odessa in southern Ukraine on Wednesday (June 14th). They are employees of a commercial warehouse hit by a Russian Kalibr-type cruise missile, the spokesman for the city’s military administration wrote on Telegram. Seven other employees were injured and “there could be people under the rubble”, he added. In addition, six people were injured in other parts of Odessa, where a business center, an educational institution, a residential complex, restaurants and shops were damaged. Russian night attacks intensify. Moscow has intensified its nighttime attacks on Ukrainian cities in recent weeks, as kyiv launched a major counter-offensive in an attempt to reclaim territories occupied by Russian forces.

Eleven dead in an attack on Tuesday. In Kryvyi Rig, the birthplace of President Volodymyr Zelensky in central Ukraine, bombings killed at least eleven people before dawn on Tuesday, with the destruction in particular of an apartment building and a warehouse.

New American financial aid. The United States announced on Tuesday additional military aid of 325 million dollars (301 million euros) to Ukraine, aimed in particular at strengthening its air defense against Russia. These are mainly air defense equipment, artillery ammunition, anti-tank weapons and armored vehicles.
