Two exhibits on ocean pollution

And definitely, the Armada 2023 gives pride of place to culture with three exhibitions related to the sea. The Saint-Ouen abbey church is hosting a series of portraits of sailors. These shots are signed Isabelle Lebon. The photographs are accompanied by texts by Christine Ternat. To discover until July 3, 2023.

Two other exhibitions presented at the Pavillon des Transitions until November 30, 2023 are dedicated to plastic pollution and its impacts on the oceans. The first, called Bottled Ocean 2123, is an immersive exhibition by the Maori artist Georges Nuku who creates works from plastic and polystyrene recovered by the sea. His creations sublimate these materials so as not to ignore them and thus challenge ordinary mortals on their dangerousness. The exhibition Laminated oceans and seas offers a more didactic approach on the consequences of plastic on the seabed and the solutions to protect this ecosystem.
