The particular context did not prevent it from awarding its stars for 2021, with dozens of categories and subcategories, of which here is a selection.

The trio of the most interesting countries to visit, according to the public, are Portugal, New Zealand and Japan. The Olympics seem to have had their effect, as Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto were named the top three cities to visit this year. Singapore is rising as queen of the skies, winning the prize for best airport and welcoming the best airline, Singapore Airlines.

As for hotels, no international category, but a host of subcategories by continents and countries. In the North America zone, Canada is not represented, but a specific national sub-classification places the Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria in the lead, while placing many Quebec hotels in the top 10 (including the hotel 71 and Le Château Frontenac, in Quebec City, Le Germain, the Gault Hotel and the Sofitel Golden Mile, in Montreal, as well as the Manoir Hovey, in North Hatley).

The list also provides an unranked list of some 20 remarkable new restaurants from around the world. These include Rongros in Bangkok, Verdant in Tulum, Veronika in New York, Maison in Paris, but above all the Danish establishment called… Ark.
