At last ! After a long wait, fans of Tomer Sisley finally got to reunite with their favorite medical examiner in the fifth and final season of Balthazar this Thursday, January 19. Indeed, the actor bows out despite the crazy success of the project. And who says last season says big surprises for fans, in every sense of the word. During the next episodes, the actor will have to transform himself to try to escape those who wish him harm. Will he let his beard grow? Dressing up like an old man? Or wear a cap for life? Nothing of the sort.
To avoid any problem, the character of Balthazar going to opt for the drag-queen option. An option, which fans were able to discover at the end of season 4 and which Tomer Sisley really liked. “At the end of season 4, we see a drag queen. It was me! I say it because I’m not sure that everyone understood it, so amazing is the transformation”he revealed to our colleagues from Sud Info before indicating that he knew this environment well and that he was happy to be able to represent it on television.

“Drag practice is an art in its own right, very complete. Except that it is not very well represented on our channels. Me, it was my wife (C8 columnist Sandra Zeitoun) who made me discover that environment. She is a fan of the American shows RuPaul’s Drag Race, which can be seen on Netflix”he reveals to our colleagues before continuing: “At first, I didn’t understand why. Then, little by little, I got into it, and I found it extraordinary! Not only is it interesting, but also very original. It has its place in Balthazar, because that we are lucky to have a rather open-minded hero. As we are broadcast on the first channel in Europe, I wanted to put this minority in the spotlight”.
The filming of Balthazar was therefore the perfect opportunity for him to highlight this environment which means a lot to him. And to “promote” it, Tomer Sisley went to great lengths. With the help of Hugo Bardin, also known as Paloma and who is, to date, the only person to have put his hands on the testicles of the actor, the companion of Sandra Zeitoun revealed everything he had to do to transform. “Makeup, costume, prosthesis for the hips, for the buttocks … it took at least that to look like him!”he confessed, happy to have been able to do so.
