President Zelensky recalls his ambassador to Morocco, “not effective”

Morocco, like many countries on the Continent, has adopted a position of neutrality since the start of the Russian war against Ukraine. On March 2, he refused to take part in the vote on a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on the situation between Ukraine and Russia. “Morocco’s non-participation cannot be interpreted in any way in relation to its position of principle concerning the situation between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. (…) The Kingdom of Morocco reaffirms its strong attachment respect for the territorial integrity, sovereignty and national unity of all Member States of the United Nations”, explained the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release.
