Police chase between Repentigny and Montreal: the fugitive in critical condition

A fugitive was seriously injured during the night from Monday to Tuesday after a police chase which began in Repentigny and ended in Montreal. The BEI has opened an investigation.

The story began around 10:45 p.m. Monday evening when a police officer from the City of Repentigny Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle stopped at a green light.

The driver then fled on Highway 40 westbound and the Sûreté du Québec took over and pursued the fleeing vehicle. It was once in Montreal that the vehicle “would have collided with the central wall at an exit from the Ville-Marie tunnel in Montreal,” declared the Bureau of Independent Investigations (BEI) in a press release.
