Pierre Rochefort confided in an interview with JDD in 2015, becoming an actor might not have been possible if his son had not entered his life: “At 19, I had a son. So, I worked to be independent. As I loved music, I was a record store at FNAC: Saint-Lazare, Châtelet… But in 2005, I had a disappointment. I had no diploma, what am I doing with my life if the music doesn’t work? One day my hip-hop group quit.”
Far from being defeated, Pierre Rochefort bounced back to support his young family: “I knocked on the door of a district conservatory and in three days the passion was born all of a sudden: I want to be an actor. For more than a decade, I had rejected this idea. I wanted to go my own way.” Fate has finally decided otherwise…
